Testimonials

  • Excellent, knowledgeable, prompt, friendly. These folks are the best kept secret among automotive mechanics in the Greater Lehigh Valley. We have a VW and an American car and they are excellent with both. If you've got a VW, skip the dealer and try Schearer's they are *much* better.

  • Schearer's is a great place to take ANY car, VW/Audi or other make. They are a full service shop that can tackle any of your automotive service/repair needs!

Just got back from having a turn signal bulb replaced... For $133... Bulb is available for $7.98 online, but the intensive training required to unscrew the old bulb and screw in the new one must have been very costly indeed. Was looking for a new place to go for service on my GTI. Got a postcard saying "you don't have to go to the dealer" As horrible as the dealer is, I very certainly would have been much better off. Oh, and they charged me $80.00 for the bulb! I said that's some real markup on that and they told me it was 65% markup as they bought it for $25.00... Unbelievable.
